This year's 25th Hong Kong International Open Bowling Championship will be held at the South China Athletic Association Bowling Centre, Caroline Hill in Hong Kong from the 20th - 28th August, 1999.

The championship is open to Open, Graded and Youth divisions. There will also be Challenge Cups featuring: the Inter-Centre President Cup (Team of Four by invitation); International Youth Year Cup (Team of Four aged below 20 years); Inter-Hong Challenge Cup (Team of Four by invitation); Sports & Recreation Challenge Cup (Team of Four by invitation); and the Artistes Challenge Cup (Team of Four by inivitation).

The 25th Hong Kong Open will also be the qualifying rounds of the 3rd Leg of the Asian Bowling Tour 1999 - the Hong Kong Masters Cup which will be held on the 29th - 30th August 1999.
