5th October, Jakarta: Asian Bowling Federation, organizer of the ABF Tour 2004 today confirmed the 60-lane Jaya Ancol Bowl as major sponsor of the inaugural ABF Tour - Indonesia. A total of US $25,000 in prize money will be on offer for the first time to winners of the Indonesia leg which is secheduled be held on the 9 - 10 October, 2004 at Jaya Ancol Bowl in Jakarta.

"When the Past President of ABF and the ABF Tour Committee Chairman, Mrs Vivien Fung invited us to host the fifth leg at Jaya Ancol Bowl and the opportunity to also host the Grand Final - Tournament of Champions, we did not realize the that the Tour could reach such popularity over such a short period of time," said Mr. Oky Harwanto Joedo, Organizing Chairman of the 2nd Indonesia International Open.

"To our surprise, the Tour had been watched by over 90 millions viewers worldwide which is a tremendous achievement. It was only appropriate that when the Tour comes to Jakarta, Jaya Ancol Bowl is only too happy to be part of this successful achievement," added Mr. Oky Harwanto Joedo.

"It give us great pleasure to have a partner like Jaya Ancol Bowl, who shares similar visions to make tenpin bowling not only popular in Indonesia but also in the Asian region," remarked Mrs Vivien Fung, Chairman of the ABF Tour Committee and Honorary Life President of ABF.
