The champion beat Hossam Eobhy of Egypt, 215-206 in the opening round and was lucky to take another victory in Round 2 beating Rakan Al Ameeri of Kuwait with identical 215-206 score to make the semi-final.
Ayman received a bye in the first round when his opponent did not show up and narrowly defeated newly-crowned Sinai Open champion, Mohamed Janahi of Bahrain, 204-199 in the second round to advance to the semi.
