             ABF TOUR - MACAU 2014
Double joy for Indonesia

23rd June, Macau: 2014 Macau-China International Open champion, Sharon Limansantoso won her second consecutive title with victory in the ABF Tour Macau 2014 women's final match while Yeri Ramadona captured his second tour title in the men's division to give Indonesia a grand double.

The champion and her opponent matched strides for strides with an opening strike and spare in the first two frames followed by three consecutive strikes each. The Indonesian added a fourth strike but Chan suffered a split in the sixth frame.

Although Chan mounted a late charge with a double in the eighth and ninth frames, Limansantoso struck out from frame ninth to win the tie in fine fashion.

"I've made four finals in two weeks and I couldn't have asked for more," said the 29-year-old, who has won the ABF Tour Tournament of Champions twice in 2008 and 2014.

"I was totally comfortable with the lane conditions today and I have to thank my team-mates and coaches for their support."

The champion sailed past tour debutant, Zhang Yu Hong of China, 227-163 in the first semi-final match to advance to the finals. She also had a comfortable victory over Veronica De Souza of Macau, 224-176 in the second round.

Chan edged another Chinese, Zhang Chun Li, 184-174 in an all-spinner second semi-final match to face Limansantoso in the final. The runner-up also edged 2014 Thailand Open champion, Angkana Netrviseth of Thailand, 204-193 in Round 2.

The final match of the men's division was a much tighter affair. Yeri Ramadona doubled up first in the fourth and fifth frames as Lee failed to make any impact until the sixth frames in which Lee downed four strikes-in-a-row.

The Indonesian could not match his opponent's stride as Lee spared his tenth frame and a 8-pin count to finish the match first with 221.

Ramandona had to strike home in order to take the match and he cooly dispatched the strikes needed to clinch the match and the title with 226.

"I made a lot of mistakes in yesterday's Macau Open second round finals and I finished 13th," said the 28-year-old, who won his first tour title back in 2010 in Hong Kong and most recently first runner-up in last week's Hong Kong Open.

"Today I made sure I do not repeat those mistake and this victory made up for the disappointment in Hong Kong."

Lee beat Mohammed Janahi of Bahrain, 218-192 in the second semi-final match to face Ramadona. The runner-up ousted Surasak Manuwong of Thailand, 224-193 in the second round to advance to the semi.

Mr Lao Cho Un, Acting Vice President of Macau Sport Development Board and Mr Winston Chan, Vice President of Macau-China Bowling Association presented the trophies to the champions.
