9th November, Yancheng: The first Paranaque pair of Dennis Ho and Johnson Cheng picked up their second gold medal at the 31st Asian Intercity Bowling Championships after snatching victory in the sixth and final game of the Men's Senior Doubles event.

Shanghai first pair of Teng Yaxiang and Li Fuqing took an early lead with 435 in their opening game but was soon overtaken by Beijing's first pair of Zhu Yongqui and Shi Jiancheng after the second game. Zhu and Shi held the lead after the third game with Shanghai still trailing in second.

A superb fourth game of 412 by Teng and Li took the Shanghai pair into the lead and moving 17 pins ahead of Beijing. Singles bronze medallist, Dennis Ho and Johnson Cheng kept a close third as Shanghai extended their lead to 50 pins after the fifth game.

Under pressure from both Beijing and Paranaque, the Shanghai pair could only knock down 330 in their final game to settle for the silver medal with 2345. Paranaque fired 400 to snatch the gold medal with 2350.

Beijing also suffered a lowly 328 to hand the bronze medal from the fast finishing Pasay City's Bernard Hernandez and James Dela Cruz.
