The 15th Asian Seniors Bowling Championships, which will be held from December 9 to 17, 2018, at Enagic Bowl Mihama, Okinawa, Japan, is jointly organized by Asian Seniors Bowling Council (ASBC), Japan Bowling Congress (JBC) and hosted by Okinawa Prefectural Bowling Association. It is sanctioned by the Asian Bowling Federation (ABF).
The championships is supported by Japan Sport Association (TBC), Japanese Olympic Committee, Okinawa Prefectural Government, Okinawa Convention & Visitors Bureau (TBA), Okinawa Amateur Sports Association, Chatan-cho Municipal Government, Chatan-cho Tourism Information Center (TBA), Chatan Cho Amateur Sports Association, Bowling Proprietors' Association of Japan and Bowling Proprietor Association of Okinawa.
Local and overseas bowlers in the Senior Bracket: aged 50 and above and Grand Senior Bracket: aged 65 and above at the end of 2018 are eligible to participate in this tournament.
The 36-lane AMF Enagi Bowl Mihama in Okinawa
All participants must be certified by their own National Congresses/Federations/Associations that they are members of the ABF. Their National Congresses/Federations/Associations must also be current paid up members. Each country/region is allowed 4 teams (4 Players) for each of the 4 Brackets/Divisions. The host nation, Japan is allowed more than 4 teams in each of the Brackets/Divisions.
Bowlers will compete in the SINGLES (6 games), DOUBLES (6 games per bowler) and TEAM OF FOUR (6 games per bowler over 2 blocks). The 16 games played will constitute the ALL-EVENTS. The ALL-EVENTS position standing will decide the Qualifiers for the Masters Finals. The top 16 from the All-Events position standings in each Bracket/Division will qualify for the Masters Finals.
Each bowler will bowl 15 Round-Robin matches plus a Position Round from scratch, with handicap, where applicable. A maximum of 4 bowlers per country/region in their respective Brackets/Division can qualify for the Masters Finals.
>There are 5 official hotels (1) Hilton Okinawa Chatan Resort, (2) The Beach Tower Okinawa, (3) Vessel Hotel Campana Okinawa, (4) La'gent Hotel Okinawa Chatan and (5) Double Tree by Hilton Okinawa Chatan. Bowlers/officials/supporters who stays at hotel other than the official hotels are requested to pay JPY15,000 per person as the hotels sponsored us based on the estimated number of participants.
