6th July, Kaohsiung: 2015 and 2013 Chinese Taipei Open champion, Chou Chia-Chen led compatriots, Chen Hsiu-Lan and Tsai Hsin-Yi to finish 1-2-3 in the Ladies' Open Round 1 Masters finals of the 18th Kaohsiung International Open Bowling Championships.

2013 ABF Tour Hong Kong champion, Milki Ng of Hong Kong got off the block with s superb 230 in her opening game to lead ex-international Chen Hsiu-Lan of Chinese Taipei by 11 pins. Chien followed her first game of 219 with 229 in the second to take over the running as Ng stumbled to a lowly 178 to tie second spot with Chou.

Chien kept her good momentum with 213 and 193 to continued to lead the field while Chou trailed in second. Ng recovered to stay close with the leading duo. Chien also stumbled to a poor 168 in the fifth game allowing Chou to move into the lead.

Ng took over second spot, just 7 pins behind the leader as Chien slipped down to third. With the lanes drying up toward the end, Chou added 199, 171 and 203 to win the round with 1613, the only women to average 200.

Chien bounced back to clinch second spot with 1590 while Tsai Hsin-Yi snatch third spot with 1558. Ng managed only 180 in the eighth and final game to finish fourth with 1550 while Wang Ting-Wen completed the top 5 with 1523.

2018 ABF Tour Hong Kong leg champion, Chang Yu-Hsuan scrapped through to Round 2 finishing 16th position with 1415. The women will resume with their Round 2 over another 8 games. They will be joined by the top 3 local and top 3 overseas seeded qualifiers. The top 6 with the highest pinfall at the end of Round 2 will proceed to the Stepladder Shootout finals.
