This tournament is sanctioned by the Asian Bowling Federation and will be conducted under WTBA Rules and Regulations. It will also serve as a qualifying round towards the Philippines Leg of the AVIVA Asian Bowling Tour 2003 which carries a total of US$25,000.00 in prizes. The Philippine Leg will take place on the 14th & 15th of June, 2003.
Metro Manila has so far been SARS free and is not listed in the WHO's list of SARS affected cities. Strict entry and quarantine rules are currently being implemented at our ports of entry including our airports to prevent the entry and spread of the disease here.
We have reserved the last four qualifying days of the tournament exclusively for overseas bowlers. At the moment, each bowler shall be allowed to book one attempt on the 8:00 pm squad. Additional attempts shall be subject to availability. Local bowlers shall be allowed to play only if there are vacancies.

As in previous years, the Manila Galleria Suites has provided us a special room rate of $60nett per room per night, Single or Double occupancy, inclusive of daily buffet breakfast and airport/hotel/airport transfers. The hotel has an excellent location as it adjoins a mall and is within close proximity to the tournament site. It will also be the venue of the victory banquet and awarding ceremonies. Regularly scheduled shuttles between the official hotel and the bowling center shall be provided.
