We are pleased to announce that the 3rd Sheikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa Championship will be held from May 5 - 10, 2025 at Funland Bowl, Manama, Bahrain. The championship is sanctioned by International Bowling Federation (IBF), European Bowling Federation (EBF) and Asian Bowling Federation (ABF). The 3rd Sheikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa is an Asian Ranking championship.
Bahrain is an archipelago of thirty-three islands in the Arab Gulf in the Middle East. It is located off the coast of Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Bahrain has a strategic location in the Arab Gulf, where much of the Western world's petroleum must transit to reach the open ocean.
The geography of Bahrain is mostly low desert plains. The government system is a constitutional monarchy; the chief of state is the King, and the head of government is the Prime Minister. Bahrain is a member of the League of Arab States (Arab League) and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
Qualifying Rounds will commence on April 29 to May 4 for local bowlers and May 5 onwards for overseas bowlers. The tournament Format, Prize Structure and Squad Chart can be downloaded here.
