The Malaysian Tenpin Bowling Congress (MTBC) will be hosting of the 21st SEA Games Bowling Championship 2001 from the 8th - 15th September, 2001 at Megalanes, Penang, Malaysia.
This championship is sanctioned by Asian Bowling Federation and jointly organized by MTBC and Penang Tenpin Bowling Association. A total of 9 countries are likely to partiticape in this prestigious championship. They are Brunei, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and host Malaysia. |

50 lanes Brunswick centre with synthetic surface. The centre is located in a shopping mall on the main land opposite Penang Island. It takes only 20 minutes from Mega Lanes, Seberang Perai to cross the 3rd longest bridge in the world to reach the island.

Training Site
Official Practice shall take place at the Mega Lanes Bowling Centre according to a schedule arranged by the Technical Organising Committee. Private practice will be charged accordingly.

11th September: Alex Liew, Ben Heng wins Malaysia's third Gold medal of the 21st SEA Games tenpin bowling championship Men's Doubles event while the Filipinos finish 1-2 in the Women's Doubles at Megalanes, Seberang Prai. |
10th September: AMF World Tenpin Masters champion, Shalin Zulkifli bags Malaysia's first tenpin bowling Gold medal of the 21st SEA Games in the Women's Singles with Cecilia Yap and Irene Garcia of Philippines taking the Silver and bronze medals at Megalanes, Seberang Prai. |
10th September: Commonwealth Games Doubles Gold medalist, Ben Heng makes it a double for Malaysia winning the Men's Singles in the 21st SEA Games. Thailand's Bunsong Numthum and Singapore's Andrew Fang took the silver and bronze medal respectively. |
