Singles Event Lai Lung Yen wins Singles event while veterans T.T. Nathan and Er Kee Han takes the Doubles |
November 8th, 2000: Lai Lung Yen of Chinese Taipei won the overall Singles event in the 2nd Senior Millennium Bowling Championship which kicked off from the 6th November at Plaza Bowl, Singapore.
Lai scored a total of 1,239 pinfalls for the win. Second was Singapore's Er Kee Han with a score of 1,257 while third placed Danny Koh was just 2 pins away with 1,255. |
Veteran T.T. Nathan of Singapore teaming up with Er Kee Han took the Doubles event with a combined score of 2,393. Nathan, who showed that he has not lost his touch in the game, scored 1,235 to cover his partner's 1,158 for the win.
Second in the Doubles were Harry Mickelson and Rick Winther with a score of 2,361 while third went to the pair of Choi Bok Moon and Choi Yoon Chil from Korea with a score of 2,343. |

All Events C. Taipei wins Team event while Malaysia's S.K. Chan wins All Events |
November 9th, 2000: Chinese Taipei's senior quartet comprising of Lin Mu Chuan, Chou Ye Jung, Hsieh Hsieh-O and Cheng Ping Mo won the Team event at Plaza Bowl, Singapore.
The Chinese Taipei team scored a total combined score of 4,596 pinfalls to win the event from the Korean team of Choi Bok Moon, Choi Yoon Chil, Wang Kwang Ja and Lee Soo Ho while third place went to the Malaysia's S.K. Chan, S.T. Pank, Lim Ng Long and Victor Lim. |
Last year's Masters champion, S.K. Chan won the Men's All Events with a total of 3,717 pinfalls ahead of Harry Mickelson of USA with 3,620 while the Singles champion, Lai Lung Yen took third spot with 3,527.
Chan hopes to sucessfully defend his title when the finals commences on the 10th November. |

Meanwhile, Aarona Allen of Guam won the Women's All Events with a score of 3,497 from Hsieh Hsieh Oh of Chinese Taipei with a score of 3,453 and in third place was Aiko Itagaki of Japan with 3,435. |

Masters Finals Choi and Hsieh win Men's and Ladies' Masters finals |
November 10th, 2000: The 2nd Seniors International held at Plaza Bowl ended this afternoon with Choi Yoon Chil of Korea and Hsieh Hsieh Oh of Chinese Taipei winning the Men's and Ladies' Masters finals respectively.
Choi bowled a six game total of 1192 pinfall while Chou Te Jung of Chinese Taipei and Shim Ung Jin of Korea both amassed 1195 pinfall to finish joint second. Choi won on the grounds of a 7 pinfall per game handicap. |
Last year's Masters champion S. K. Chan of Malaysia finished third. In the Ladies' Division, Hsieh Hsieh Oh of Chinese Taipei finished first with a total pinfall of 1063. Teruko Watanabe and Aiko Itagaki both from Japan finished in second and third place respectively.
