3rd September, 2000, Cairo: Bill Hoffman of USA took the 1st Pharoahs Open Men's Masters title at Egypt International Bowling Centre Cario, Egypt. Hoffman defeated Chinese Taipei's Wu Fu Lung for the top prize of US$13,000. |

Hoffman completed the 26 games with a total score of 6,089 pinfalls for an impressive 230.73 average for top spot in the step-ladder grand finals followed by Wu Fun Lung with 5,667 pinfalls while Thailand's Kritchawat J. was third with 5,641 pinfalls.
In the first match of the step-ladder finals, Wu Fu Lung defeated Kritchawat J. 202-178 for a crack at the title against Hoffman. But the champion proved too good when he disloged Wu 212-207 for the win. |

In the women's division, Kamilla Kjeldsen of Denamrk narrowly beat Singapore's Jesmine Ho 225-216 for her win. She had earlier finished her 22 games with a score of 4,820 pinfalls to Jesmine's 4,695 while England's Kristen Penny was third with 4,501 pinfalls.
In the women's step-ladder first match, Jesmine Ho also narrowly defeated Kristen Penny 175-163 but like Hoffman, Kamilla kept her form to retain top spot for the title. |
Malaysia's Zulmazran Zulkifli, who won two Gold medals at the 3rd FIQ Asian Schools championship and a bronze in the 16th FIQ World championship, were unlucky not to win the Youth masters title. He lost the final match of the step-ladder to third-seed Mohhamed Janahi of Bahrain 234-149.
Kamilla Kjeldsen put up a tremendous fight in the first match loosing to Jahani 230-245 after finishing third overall.
