5th Qatar International Open Bowling Tournament

Introduction

Qatar Bowling Federation will be hosting the 5th Qatar International Open Bowling Tournament from the 5th - 16th September, in Doha, Qatar. The tournament is sanctioned by World Tenpin Bowling Association, Asian Bowling Federation and Qatar Bowling Federation.

The tournament is also an Asian Ranking tournament where bowlers from Asia will be able to earn rankings points for the World Ranking Masters 2005.

The tournament is a singles event and qualification is 9 games (3+3+3). In the qualifications and re-entries, the bowlers will be divided into squads with 4 bowlers on a pair of lanes. Each squad will play 3 games. There will be a draw before each squad for lane assignment. The player will play his 3 games on same pair of lanes. All bowlers must finish playing his 3 games. When a re-entry (3 games) has been played, and the total score of these 3 games are higher then any earlier 3 games total score, it will replace the lowest 3 game series.
