Mahmoud started the match with a strike but made two huge mistake by missing two consecutive single pins in his next two frames as Ayman spared his first two frames and then rolled a double in the third and fourth frames.

With pressure mounting on both title contenders in this crucial match, none could string together as much strikes as they had during the semi-final matches. Ayman eventually prevailed to end with 201 while Mahmoud had two additional open frames to go down with 145.
