Xu Lan went on a strikefest when the 25-year-old spinner reeled in five consecutive strikes to open up a hugh gap over fellow team-mate, Chen Dongdong in the women's title match. Chen had two open frames while Xu brought home a clean game to defeat Chen, 256-173.

The victory earned her 75 ranking points which put Zu 10th in the women's tour rankings and made the cut for the Tournament of Champions finals. Chen, who earned 60 points for finishing second also put the 26-year-old 13th in the rankings.

Xu ousted 2009 Macau leg champion, Putty Armein of Indonesia, 182-178 to book her spot in the finals as Chen beat current tour ranking leader and Indonesia leg champion, Vanessa Fung, 181-168 for an all-Chinese finals.

The champion narrowly won her first and second round matches to advance into the semi-finals but Chen cruised through the first two rounds with victories over two Hong Kong women.

Meanwhile, another tour debutant and fifth runnerup in the preceeding Hong Kong Open, Jeri Ramadona of Indonesia ended Hong Kong's hope of a home victory when he edged 15-year-old Tony Wong, 213-204 in the finals.

Wong started the match confidently with a double but a split in the third allowed his Indonesian opponent to lead by 8 pins. The Hong Kong youngster bounced back with three strikes-in-a-row to open up a narrow gap over Ramadona.

When the Indonesian knocked down three consecutive strikes from frame seven, Wong responded but a split in his final frame ended Wong's dream debut going down, 204-213.

The champion defeated China's Mi Zhong Li, 234-223 in the semi-finals to earn a shot at the title while Wong easily beat Thailand's Phiriyahbhoon P., 223-182 in the second semi to have a crack at the title.

Ramadona posted the highest game of the tour with 280 when he beat China's Du Jian Chao in Round 1 and eliminated Hong Kong's Eric Lau, 224-194 in Round 2. Pint-size Wong was also a giant killer when he beat newly-crowned Hong Open champion, Hussain Al-Suwaidi of UAE, 222-204 in the first round.

Wong was equally impressive by beating China's Pan Yue Hong, 224-202 in his next round to advance into the semi-finals.

Despite winning the title and earning 75 points, Ramadona tied with Indonesia leg champion, Jason Belmonte of Australia and Apiwich W. of Thailand in 16th position in the rankings. Belmonte had a higher average during his victory which put the Indonesian in 17th position.

The top 16 men and top 16 women in the tour rankings qualified for the Tournament of Champions which will be held in January 2011. For further information and details, please contact ABF Tour Committee at Tel: +852 2893 6039, Fax: +852 2893 6290; Email: info@abftour.com.
