3rd July, Doha: Thai bowlers dominated Squad C first 6-games series of the H.H. Emir Cup 2022 with 2018 PBA-WBT Busan Cup champion, Annop Arromsaranon leading Yannaphon Larpapharat in second and Supakrit Wantasuk in third.

Debutant, Arromsaranon got off to a cracking start with 279 in his opening game to take the early lead. Despite a 216 in his second game, the Thai kept his lead with team-mate and 31st SEA Games Hanoi Singles silver medallist, Yannaphon Larpapharat hot on his heels.

The pace-setter failed to keep a good pace knocking down only 178 and 188 in his next two games allowing Larpapharat to take over the running briefly. Arromsaranon bounced back fortunately with 263 and 233 to end the series with 1357.

Larpapharat settled for second spot with 1339 after finishing strongly with 268 and 226 in the fifth and sixth games. Supakrit Wantasuk, who was in the team at the 31st SEA Games Hanoi, helped dominate the squad for Thai bowlers taking up third spot with 1309.
