Past weeks have been very warm and sunny in Helsinki. The organizers are hopeing it will continue, so that all the competitors, officials and visitors will have chance to enjoy the lovely summer city.
On Monday, things were still quiet at Tali Bowling center, it was hardly noticable that something as big as World Youth Championship will start in four days. Just few bowlers were on the lanes and staffs had almost nothing to do.
But on Tuesday, activities started to come alive. Men were seen building extra spectator seating area and the ball park. The Finnish tournament director, Pekka Korpi has moved into Tali. Transportation manager Timo Palermaa with his group had started his big task of picking up all the teams. |
