For the first time in the history of the World Bowling Tour (WBT) series, one male and one female athlete from each of the three zones (Asian, European and Pan American) have been invited to take part in the WBT Finals alongside the top three male and top three female athletes from the 2019 WBT Rankings list. The 2019 World Bowling Tour (WBT) Finals will take place in Kuwait on November 7, 2019 at the 48-lane Kuwait Bowling Sporting Club.
The athletes selected to represent their zone will be Rafiq Ismail (MAS) and Cherie Tan (SGP) from the Asian Bowling Federation (ABF); Arnar David Jonsson (ISL) and Anna Andersson (SWE) from the European Tenpin Bowling Federation (ETBF); Nick Pate (USA) and Clara Guerrero (COL) from the Pan American Bowling Confederation (PanAm Bowling).
Joining these athletes will be the top six athletes from the WBT Rankings who will be named following the completion of the last WBT qualifier, the 13th Kuwait Open on November 6, 2019. The zones were at liberty to determine their own qualification process for their top athletes.
The new 48-lane Kuwait Bowling Sporting Club
For ABF, the top two came from the Asian Rankings as of September 1, 2019. For Pan Am Bowling the qualification was the Singles event at the 2019 Pan American Games and for ETBF the athletes were the top ranked athletes from the European Bowling Tour as of the end of September 30, 2019.
Fans will be able to watch the 13th Kuwait Open and WBT Finals live on dailymotion.com. The official hotel is Millennium Hotel & Convention, Kuwait and all reservations must be made directly with Kuwait Bowling Federation. All bookings are on a first-come-first-served basis. Update information on rooms availability in the official hotel will be released periodically.
