Kuwait ends championship with victory |
8th October, Kuwait: Kuwait ended the 10th GCC Bowling Championships 2010 with gold and silver medals in the Masters event after Rakan Al-Amiri defeated Fahad Al-Regheeb, 2-0 in the all-Kuwaiti finals. |

Sixth-seed, Rakan Al-Amiri easily won the first game 227-188 in the best-of-3 against team-mate and fifth-seed, Fahad Al-Regheeb and cruised to victory after taking the second game, 233-209 for Kuwait's first gold medal.
Rakan had earlier beat No. 7 seed, Fahad Al-Emadi of Qatar, 2-0 (226-216, 237-213) in the second semi-finals to advance to the title match. Fahad had to go into the third and deciding game to beat Bahrain's Yousif Falah, 2-1 in the first semi.
The champion also cruised through to the semi-finals with victory over No, 3 seed, Sami Noor of Bahrain 2-0 in the quarter-finals while Fahad Al-Regheeb beat No.4 seed, Hussain Al-Suwaidi of UAE, 2-0 to book his semi-final spot. |

All the top 4 seeded finalists, Yousif Al-Jaber (QAT-top seed), Naif Oqab (UAE-2nd seed), Sami Noor (BAH-3rd seed) and Hussain Al-Suwaidi (UAE-4th seed) surprisingly failed to progress.

The championship commenced on October 3 with Shaker Al-Hassan of UAE picking up the first gld medal in the Singles event with 1339 with Yousef Al-Jaber of Qatar taking the silver with 1329 and Rakan Al-Amiri of Kuwait the bronze with 1322.
Qatar's Fahad Al-Emadi and Yousef Al-Jaber won the gold in the Doubles event on October 4 with 2628 ahead of Fahad Al-Regheeb and Jassem Darwish of Kuwait settling for the silver with 2616. UAE's Sayed Al-Hashimi and Hussain Al-Suwaidi took home the bronze with 2604.

Qatar wins two more gold medals |
7th October, Kuwait: Qatar won their second gold medal of the 10th GCC Bowling Championships 2010 after cruising to a comfortable victory in the Team event while Yousef Al-Jaber claimed their third gold after topping the All Events. |

Salem Al-Marzooqi, Khalid Al-Doseri, Abdulla Haroon, Fahad Al-Emadi and Yousef Al-Jaber had led the first block of the Team event with 3114 with consistent lines of 1039, 1038 and 1037, just 7 pins ahead of the favourites, UAE on Thursday.
The Qataris got off to a cracking start in the second block with a sizzling 1138 to open up a gap of 173 pins ahead of their nearest rival UAE. The leader continued to fire another superb 1127 to stretch their lead to 229 after the fifth game.
Despite a 1040 in their final game, the Qataris cruised to a comfortable victory with 6419 and a margin of 242 pins to win their second gold medal. |

UAE's Shaker Al-Hassan, Sayed Al-Hashimi, Naif Oqab, Hussain Al-Suwaidi and Mahmood Al-Attar settled for the silver medal with 6177 while host Bahrain finally landed their first medal to win the bronze with 6098.
Yousef Al-Jaber's highest 6-game series of 1462 in the Team event helped him win his first individual gold medal and Qatar's third in the All Events with 5270. Naif Oqab clinched the silver with 5223.
Sami Noor gave Bahrain's second bronze medal from the All Events with 5187. UAE's Hussain Al-Suwaidi, Kuwait's Fahad Al-Regheeb and Rakan Al-Amiri, Fahad Al-Emadi and Yousif Falah made the top 8 Elimination Masters finals. |

Trios gold for UAE |
5th October, Kuwait: Singles gold medalist, Shaker Al-Hassan led his team-mates, Naif Oqab and Hussain Al-Suwaidi to trimph in the Trios event of the 10th GCC Bowling Championships 2010 to win the gold medal for UAE. |

Kuwait's Basel Al-Anzi, Jassim Darwish and Mohammed Al-Zaidan had led the first two games of the Tros first block before handing the lead to UAE's Shaker Al-Hassan, Naif Oqab and Hussain Al-Suwaidi at the end of the first block.
UAE, who led the first block with 42 pins over Kuwait, stretched their lead to 125 pins after the start of the second block with a scintillating opening game of 716. The Kuwaitis were unable to narrow the gap despite UAE managing only 618 in the fifth game.
A final game of 604 from the Emiratis was good enough to claim victory with 3937. Shaker posted 1212, Hussain 1276 while Naif shot the highest 6-game series of 1449 to help his team to victory. |

Basel, Jassim and Mohammed settled for the silver with 3852 while the second trio of Khaled Al-Dubyyan, Rakan Al-Amiri and Fahad Al-Regheeb finished third to take the bronze medal with 3832.
Host, Bahrain who has yet to land a medal after three events, again missed the podium by taking up fourth spot with 3710.

Qatar takes second gold |
4th October, Kuwait: Qatar's Fahad Al-Emadi and Yousef Al-Jaber won the Doubles event to take the second gold medal of the 10th GCC Bowling Championships 2010 with Kuwait and UAE settling for the silver and bronze medals. |

Qatar's Khalid Al-Doseri and Abdulla Haroon opened accounts with a superb 487 in their opening game to take the early lead with Kuwait's Fahad Al-Regheeb and Jassim Darwish trailing in second, 35 pins away.
Fahad and Jassim followed it up with an excellent 477 in their second game to take over the running from the Qataris and opening up a gap of 64 pins as UAE's Sayed Al-Hashimi and Hussain Al-Suwaidi followed in third.
Despite only managing 414, the Kuwaitis were able to hang on to the lead as UAE took over second spot and reducing the gape to just 23 pins as Khalid and Abdulla faded away. |

The second Qatari pair of Fahad Al-Emadi and Yousef Al-Jaber posted a sizzling 490 in the fourth game to surge into the lead after Kuwait and UAE shot 394 and 405 respectively to trail in second and third.
Fahad and Yousef went on to fire 463 and 418 in their last two games to seal the victory with 2628 to give Qatar their first gold medal. Fahad rolled 1311 and Yousef 1317.
Fahad Al-Regheeb and Jassim bounced back to clinch the silver medal with 2616 while Sayed and Hussain settled for the bronze medal with 2604. Bahrain's Sami Noor and Yousif Falah stromed home to take fourth spot with 2565.

Emirati wins first gold |
3rd October, Kuwait: Shaker Al-Hassan of UAE won the first gold medal in the opening Singles event of the 10th GCC Bowling Championships 2010 which got underway at Magic Planet Bowling Lanes on Sunday. |

Local favourite, Yousif Falah set a blistering pace with a superb opening game of 257 to lead Kuwait's Rakan Al-Amiri in second just three pins adrift followed by another Kuwaiti, Jassem Darwish third, a further 6 pins away.
Two good games from Khaled Al-Dubyyan gave a third Kuwaiti the lead after the second game as Qatar's Yousef Al-Jaber grabbed over second spot just 1 pin behind. Khaled held the lead at the halfway mark from Yousef unable to overtake Khaled despite a good game of 225.

But it was UAE's Shaker Al-Hassan who snatched the gold with 1339 after a sizzling final game of 224 as Rakan suffered a poor 181 and Yousef managing only 206. Yoursef settled for the silver with 1329 while Rakan took the bronze with 1322.
Pace-setter, Khaled Al-Dubyyan missed the podium to finish fourth with 1265 while Naif Oqab of UAE rounded up the top 5.
