6th July, Hong Kong, China: Hong Kong youths, Amen Yuen Cheuk Hin, Dylan Lam Nok Him and Ethan Leung Chun Yu topped the opening qualifying block of the U22, U18 and U15 divisions at the U22 Hong Kong Storm Cup 2025 underway at Top Bowl, Kai Tak Sports Park.

Yuen shot back-to-back 300 in the third and fourth game of his opening block to amass a 4-game total of 1100, averaging an impressive 275.0 and led Squad A. Jovan Chua of Singapore finished second with 1086 while Jereniq Ho of Sunway Megalanes, Malaysia in third with 1049.

Hong Kong's Tse Lok Sang topped Squad B with 1075 followed by Tang Shing Hei of Macau, China in second with 1058 and newly-crowned 2025 Macao-China Open Youth Boys Open champion, Jovi Ma of Hong Kong in third with 1057.

In the final squad of the day, Ethan Leung amassed 1064 from lines of 257, 275, 289 and 243 to lead Squad C. Two Guam nationals, Daniel Lee and 2024 Asian Intercity Masters champion, Jeremiah Camacho finished second and third with 1056 and 1036 respectively.

Leung led the U15 Division standings with his superb effort in Squad C. China's Tian Qi Rui and Yip Chun Yin finished second and third positions with 1007 and 996. Amen Yuen led U18 Division qualifying standings ahead of Jovan Chua in second and Squad B leader, Tse in third.

Dylan Lam led the U22 Division qualifying standings with his moderate 1039 total. Lucio Marcelino Chiu of Macau, China trailed Lam by just 15 pins with 1024 while Tian took up third position with 1007.

The top 3 in the U15 Division after the second block of another four games tomorrow will be declared the winners. The top 21 in the U18 Division qualifying standings will advance to the Semi-finals for another four games with pins carried forward.

The top 39 in the U22 Division qualifying standings will advance to the Semi-finals for another four games with pins carried forward.

The top 16 U18 and top 16 U22 finishers with the highest totals will proceed to the elimination rounds where the field will be cut to top 8 quarter-finalists, top 4 semi-finalists and eventually top 2 final matches to determine the champions.
