20th June, Macau: 2019 Macao-China Open first runner-up and national bowler, Lee Tak Man won the Macao Cup of the 2023 Macao-China International Open Bowling Championships underway at COTAI Bowling Centre.

Lee almost rolled the tournament's second 300 but ended with 298 to lead a field of 24 finalists. Tong Man Chon was nearest in second with 259 and Zoe Dias Ma in third with 234. Tong took over the running after he added a splendid 256 in the second game and moved 15 pins ahead of Lee.

The national bowler regained the lead after Tong suffered a low 162 in the third game despite posting only 189. Lee added a superb 231 in the fourth game to continue to lead as Choi Hou In moved into second spot. Tong failed to keep pace and felled out of contention. The leader went on to reel in 217, 242, 178 and ended with a sizzling 278 to take a commanding victory with 1836. Tam Wai Chong stormed home to snatch second position with 1716, albeit 120 pins adrift.

Another deserving title for Lee Tak Man
