Home team Korea wins third Gold in Women's Team of Five

7th October, Busan: Korea, lead by two Gold medalist Kim Soo Kyung with Kim Hee Soon, Cha Mi Jung, Kim Hyo Mi and Nam Bo Ra won the Women's Team of Five event of the 14th Busan Asian Games at the Homeplus Asiad Bowling Alley. Philippines took the Silver and Chinese Taipei the Bronze.

First-block leader, Korea started the fourth game in the second block with a strong 1,077 for a total of 4,166 to stretch the lead to 98 pins over nearest rival Japan who scored a lowly 986 for 4,068 total. Chinese Taipei moved up one spot to third with 1,058 for 4,041 total while Philippines dropped a place to fourth with 3,971. Malaysia was fifth with 3,905.

Korea took the lead further with another scintillating performance knocking down 1,156 in the fifth game for 5,322 total, 187 pins ahead of second-placed Japan, who scored 1,067 for a 5,135 total. Chinese Taipei maintained in third with 5,129 followed by Philippines and Malaysia in fourth and fifth on 5,019 and 4,915 respectively.

Korea winning their third Gold medal in record-breaking scores

The Korean's final game of 950 was enough to secure their third Gold medal with a total score of 6,272 which erased the Games record of 6,045 which they set in Bangkok in 1998. Philippines stormed home in the last game with a superb 1,076 to snatch the Silver medal on 6,095 while Chinese Taipei settled for the Bronze failing to improve with a 957 for 6,086 total, just 9 pins behind. Japan failed to win a medal after dropping to fourth with a disappointing 945 for 6,080 total, 6 pins further. Malaysia did well to finish fifth 5,899.


Three Gold medalist, Kim Soo Kyung won her fourth Gold medal of the competition after she finished top of the Women's All Events table with 5,277, 193 pins ahead of Wang Yu Ling of Chinese Taipei who took the Silver with 5,084 pinfalls. Kim's teammate, Kim Hyo Mi won the Bronze medal after her impressive performances in the Team of Five for 5,034 total. Huang Chung-Yao missed the medal just by 2 pins from third to scored one point for Chinese Taipei in fourth. Another pin away was Liza del Rosario in fifth.

Korea streaked into an unassailable lead in the Overall Medal standings with 4 Gold, 2 Silver, 3 Bronze and 2 fourth placings for a total of 30.5 points. Chinese Taipei took over second spot despite not winning any Gold medals but with 3 Silver, 2 Bronze and 2 fourths for 16 points. Singapore is third with 3 Gold medals for 15 points.

As the new OAC rule in qualifications for the Masters finals used in this championship where only two bowlers from each country will be represented, the top 16 is well represented by the participating countries. Bowlers qualifying because of this new rule are Nachimi Itakura (JPN - 11), Janet Lam (HKG - 12), Valerie Teo (SIN - 13), Vanessa Fung (HKG - 14), Wannasiri D. Japan captures Team of Five Gold medal

7th October, Busan: Men's Doubles Silver medalists, Isao Yamamoto and Seiji Watanabe together with Shigeo Saito, Masahiro Hibi and Hirofumi Morimoto won Japan's first Gold medal by capturing the Men's Team of Five event of the 14th Busan Asian Games at Homeplus Asiad Bowling Alley. Home team Korea took the Silver while Chinese Taipei and UAE again shared the Bronze.

Japan, who was second in the first block, started the fourth game of the second block with a score of 1,045 for a total of 4,206 to take the early lead from home team Korea scoring 1,057 for 4132 total. China remained third with 1,004 for 4,116 followed by Chinese Taipei in fourth with 1,091 totalling 4,098. Overnight leader, Philippines scored a low 913 for a 4,090 total dropping to fifth while Malaysia was sixth with 4,085.

A fifth game of 1,101 for the Japanese allowed them to continue their lead with 5,307 despite the strong home crowd cheering on Korean bowlers to a high game of 1,137 for a 5,269 total in second. Chinese Taipei move up one spot to third with 5,160 while China dropped to fourth with 5,146. Singapore, lead by two Gold medalist, Remy Ong made up some grounds for fifth place with 5,095 with Philippines and Malaysia sliding down to sixth and seventh respectively.

Japan finally captures their first Gold medal in the Men's Team event

A fine 1,082 in the final game gave the leader the well-deserved win and Japan's first Gold medal when they won the Men's Team of Five event with a total score of 6,389. Neither the home team Korea nor Chinese Taipei could improve on their final game scoring only 1,004 and 978 respectively. Korea settled for the Silver with a total of 6,273, 116 pins away while Chinese Taipei had to share the Bronze medal with UAE on 6,138. Malaysia recovered in the last game but was short of 26 pins for a medal with 6,112 total.

"We had a lot of pleasure after 4 days of competition and we have not won a gold," said Mr. Nakamura, the Japanese Coach. "The Team Gold is a great achievement as all members in the team will get a medal. I am very proud of my bowlers."

According to Mr. Nakamura, unlike many other Asian countries, there will be no incentive rewards from the Japanese Government for any gold won in the Asian Games, but the bowling proprietor association and JBC will reward them with 1 million Yen (about US$10,000).


Two Gold medalist, Remy Ong of Singapore bagged his third Gold medal after topping the Men's All Events table with a 5,354 total over 24 games. He was 12 pins ahead of UAE's Shaker Ali Al-Hassan who scored 5,342 while Team Gold medalist, Isao Yamamoto took the Bronze medal with 5,241. Singles Bronze medalist, Yannaphon Larpapharat scored 1 point for Thailand by finishing fourth.

Home team Korea continued to lead the Overall Medal standings with 2 Gold, 2 Silver, 2 Bronze and 1 fourth for 18.5 points total while Remy Ong's third Gold has moved Singapore up to second with 3 Gold medals on 15 points. Japan also improved to third with 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze medal for 13 points.

which will is scheduled for tomorrow (8th October). Because of the new OAC rule in qualifications for the Masters finals used in this championship where only two bowlers from each country will be represented, the final position will be occupied by Chinese Taipei's Tsai Chun-Lin in place of the third Filipino who finished in the top 16, R.J. Korea tops first-block Women's Team of Five event

6th October, Busan: Korea, lead by two Gold medalist Kim Soo Kyung and Doubles Gold medalists Cha Mi Jung and Kim Yeau Jin joined by Kim Hyo Mi and Nam Bo Ra, topped the Women's Team of Five first-block event of the 14th Busan Asian Games at the Homplus Asiad Bowlign Alley. Japan finished second with Philippines a distant third.

The Chinese Taipei women scorched the lanes to take the lead in the first game with 1,051 followed by Japan with 1,044 and Malaysia a close third on 970. The Korean were fourth on 956 while Philippines was fifth with 949.

Japan overtook the Chinese Taipei in the second game when they scored 986 for a 2,030 total from Korea in second after their superb 1,041 for 1,997. Chinese Taipei dropped to third with a 932 for 1,983 total. Malaysia and Philippines dropped to fourth and fifth with 1,944 and 1,916 respectively.

Korean completed the third game with another impressive score of 1,092 to finish top of the field with 3,089 just 7 pins ahead of Japan who scored another good game of 1,052 totalling 3,082. Philippines fought back gamely with 1,076 to finish a strong third on 2,992 with the early leader Chinese Taipei in fourth with 2,936. Malaysia finished in the top five on 2,936.

There was no change in the Women's All Events table with two Gold medalist, Kim Soo Kyung of Korea building up a comfortable lead of 122 pins on 4,604 over second-place Wang Yu Ling of Chinese Taipei on 4,482. Kim's teammate, Kim Hyo Mi moved up to third overall with 4,398 pushing Chinese Taipei's Huang Chung-Yao to fourth on 4,371. SEA Games Masters champion, Lai Kin Ngoh of Malaysia finished in the top five with 4,371.

Singapore clinches second Gold medal in Men's Trios

6th October, Busan: Singapore clinched their second Gold medal of the 14th Busan Asian Games when Singles Gold medalist, Remy Ong anchored Lee Yu Wen and Sam Goh to capture the Men's Trios event at the Homeplus Asiad Bowling Alley. Philippines and UAE shared the Silver medals.

UAE took the lead after the start of the second block scoring 700 in the fourth game for 2,582 total just 5 pins ahead of Korea who maintained their second spot from the yesterday's first block with 615 for 2,575. Singapore scored a superb 696 for 2,560 total a further 15 pins away in third while Japan moved up to fourth from eight with 687 for 2,552 total. Overnight leader Qatar bowled a low 537 to drop to seventh.

Singapore continued to make up grounds taking over the lead after the fifth game scoring 695 for 3,255 total. Korea remained second with 660 for 3,235 while UAE slipped back to third with 630 to total 3,212. Philippines improved to fourth with 661 for 3,183 with Chinese Taipei in fifth with 3,163.

Finally a superb 706 in the final game allowed Singapore to clinch their second Gold medal of the competition with a total of 3,961.

Philippines did well to share the Silver scoring 691 in the last game for same total of 3,874 with UAE who scored 662. Korea bowled a low 596 in the final game to miss the medal in fourth with 3,831. The win also created a new Asian Games Record which erased the old record of 3,789 set by Japan in 1994 Hiroshima Asian Games.

Remy, who won the Singles Gold on Thursday was crying with joy with his second Asian Games Gold and an additional reward of S$250,000 to be shared among the three. With the two gold, Remy will be richer by S$ 333,000.00.

"I did not do very well in the first game today, but I came back with a 265 in the final game. I have to thank my teammates Sam and Yu Wen who bowled exceptionally well throughout," said Remy, who promised the young Malaysian Zulmazran Zulkifli who will be rooming up with him in the AMF World Cup, that he would take care of him at Riga, Latvia. Remy also promised to take all his teammates for a short holiday on Thursday after winning the Singles Gold.

After 3 events and Men's Team of Five, two Gold medalist, Remy Ong maintained the lead in the Men's All Events table with 4,767 stretching a 52-pin lead over UAE's Shaker Ali Al-Hassan who totalled 4,715 while Isao Yamamoto of Japan lies third with 4,631. Korea's Cho Nam Ey was fourth with 4,600 while Thailand's Yannaphon Larpapharat took fifth spot with 4,595.

Korea still leads the Overall Medal standings with 2 Gold, 1 Silver, 1 Bronze and a fourth placing to total 15.5 points. Philippines maintained second with 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze on 11.5 points while Singapore moved up to third with 2 Gold medals on 10 points. 6th October, Busan: Singles Gold medalist, Kim Soo Kyung won her second Gold medal of the 14th Busan Asian Games when she partnered Cha Mi Jung and Kim Yeau Jin to capture the Women's Trios event at the Homeplus Asiad Bowling Alley. Chinese Taipei took the Silver while Malaysia won the Bronze.

The overnight leader started the second block with a 594 in the fourth game for 2,579 which allowed their teammates in Korea Team 2 to reduce the gap to 69 pins with a strong 671 for 2,518 total. Both the Chinese Taipei teams did well to narrow the gap with 628 and 632 for 2,446 and 2465 in third and fourth respectively. Malaysia scored a good 630 fourth game to stay in contention with 2,446 in fifth.

Korea continued to slide to third with another poor 526 in the fifth game for 3,105 total allowing Chinese Taipei to take over the lead with a superb 691 for 3,137, 32 pins ahead while Korea Team 2 took over second place with 603 for 3,121 total. Chinese Taipei Team 2 continue their charge with 645 for 3,110 to move up to fourth. Malaysia slided briefly to fifth with 632 for 3,060 total.

But Korea Team 1 made a tremendous comeback when Cha Mi Jung bowled a 264 and Kim Soo Kyung a 247 with Kim Yeau Jin 189 for a superb 700 to capture Korea's second Gold medal of the competition. Their win also broke the Games record of 3,770 set by Chinese Taipei in Bangkok with 3,805 score. Chinese Taipei settled for the Silver with 3,796 while Malaysia snatched the Bronze from the other Chinese Taipei team with 3,720.

Kim Soo Kyung of Korea maintained her overall lead in the Women's All Events with 3,986 from second-place Wang Yu Ling on 3,844 and third-place Huang Chung-Yao on 3,822 both from Chinese Taipei. Another Korean, Cha Mi Jung took over fourth spot with 3,790 from Malaysia's Shalin Zulkifli on 3,767 dropping one place to fifth.

The second Gold medal in the competition has stretched Korea's lead in the Overall Medal standings to 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze for 15 points. Philippines is second with 1 Gold, 1 Bronze and a fourth for 9 points while Chinese Taipei made up grounds to third with 1 Silver, 2 Bronze medals and 2 fourth placings for 8.5 points.

Philippines takes lead in Team of Five event

5th October, Busan: Philippines' team, lead by Doubles Gold medalists Paeng Nepomuceno and Bautista, took the topped the field of 17 teams in the first-block of the Team of Five event of the 14th Busan Asian Games at the Homeplus Asiad Bowling Alley. Just 16 pins in second was Japan with China third.

Malaysia took an early lead after scoring 1,076 in the first game with Japan a close second 25 pins behind on 1,051. UAE took third and Philippines fourth with 1,018 and 1,004 respectively. A strong second game of 1,114 from the Filipinos moved them to the top on 2,118 total followed by Japan's 1,005 in second on 2,106. Malaysia scored 1,006 for 2,082 dropping down to third.

In the third game, Philippines continued their fine form to eventually top the field knocking down 1,059 for a total of 3,177. Japan maintained second spot with another 1,055 for 3,161 total while China scored a strong 1,091 to move up to third with 3,112 overall. Korea made a last game charge to finished fourth with 3,075 while Malaysia dropped a place further to fifth on 3,054.

Isao Yamamoto of Japan maintained third with Singles Bronze medalist, Yannaphon Larpapharat of Thailand in fourth with 4,005. Cho Nam Ey of Korea made up the top 5 in fifth with 3,990.

5th October, Busan: Singles Gold medalist, Kim Soo Kyung partnering Cha Mi Jung and Kim Yeau Jin took the home team Korea to the lead of the Women's Trios first-block in the 14th Busan Asian Games at Homeplus Asiad Bowling Alley. Philippines lies second with Malaysia in third spot.

Korea took an early lead when Kim Soo Kyung scored a high game of 266 for 658 in the first game followed by Philippines' 641 in second with the Malaysian women taking third spot just one pin away with 640. Chinese Taipei's 629 kept them in close contention in fourth.

The Korean continued to pull away with another impressive 672 in the second game to total 1,330 for a 42-pin lead over the Philippines second game of 647 for 1,288 while Malaysia followed closely with 637 for 1,277. Chinese Taipei's Team 2 overtook their teammates for fourth place with 1,230 while Malaysia's Team 2 also made progress with 1,225 for fifth.

Korea maintained with a 655 third game to finished the first block as leader with a 1,985 total, 79 pins ahead of second place Philippines on 1,906 while Malaysia stayed third with 1,871. Korea's Team 2 made a late charge with a 716 third game to move up to fourth overall on 1,847 with Hong Kong doing well to be in contention in fifth with 1,844.

Chinese Taipei's two teams dropped to sixth and seventh with Thailand and Malaysia Team 2 in eight and nineth respectively. Japan's Team 1 took the top tenth spot.

Singles Gold medalist, Kim Soo Kyung continue to lead the Women's All Events after a record-breaking 3-game series of 722 in the Trios for a total of 3,371. Teammate, Kim Hyo Mi took second spot with 3,191 disloging Philippines' Liza del Rosario to third on 3,180. Asian Bowler of the Year, Shalin Zulkifli continued to improve to share fourth overall with former World Youth Gold medalist, Wang Yu Ling on 3,142.

Qatar leads Men's Trios first-block

5th October, Busan: Former World Cup champion, Ahmed Shaheen Al-Merikhi with Mubarak Al-Muraikhi and Saeed Al-Hajri, anchored Qatar to lead the Men's Trios first-block in the 14th Busan Asian Games at the Homeplus Asiad Bowling Alley. Korea finished second with China in third.

Qatar led from Game 1 with 678 followed by Malaysia 659 with Korea and Philippines just one pin closely in joint-third with 658. UAE fifth with 644 while Chinese Taipei in sixth with 627.

Qatar continue their lead with 626 in the second game for 1,304 with UAE making a strong challenge to move up from fifth to second on a 633 to total 1,277. Chinese Taipei and Philippines continued their pursuit scoring 647 and 614 to stay in contention in third and fourth with 1,274 and 1,272 respectively. Malaysia did a poor 524 to drop to 15 on 1,183 so did Korea with 603 but in top five on 1,261.

Although Korea recovered in the third game with a 699 to total 1,960, it was not good enough to topple the leader Qatar who finished off with 673 to complete the 1st block of the Men's Trios on 17 pins ahead of Korea on 1,977.

China continued their surge upwards from seventh to third with 612, 640 and 675 to total 1,927 while Philippines and UAE finished fourth and fifth with 1,921 and 1,908 respectively. Malaysia Team 2 are tied in 8th place with 1,865, and just one rank behind is Singapore Team 1 anchored by Singles Gold Medalist Remy Ong with 1,864.

Saeed, who missed out a medal in the Singles on Thursday despite leading the field going into the final game, was happy with his performance today. "I did not do well in the Doubles yesterday and I was disappointed. But I am happy of my performance in the Trios this morning," said Saeed.

Shaker Ali Al-Hassan of UAE has taken the Men's All Events lead from Singles Gold medalist, Remy Ong of Singapore after a superb Trios 1st block to total 3,448. Ong's 3,420 is 45 pins ahead of third-placed Japan's Isao Yamatomo on 3,375 followed by Qatar's Mubarak Al-Muraikhi and Thailand's Yannaphon Larpapharat in fourth anf fifth with 3,329 and 3,328 respectively.

Filipinos Paeng Nepomuceno, R.J. Bautista scores in Men's Doubles

4th October, Busan: Four-time World Champion, Paeng Nepmuceno and R.J. Bautista scored Philippines' Gold medal of the 14th Busan Asian Games tenpin bowling competition by winning the Men's Doubles event at the Homeplus Asiad Bowling Alley.

The Filipino duo, who lead Squad A of the Men's Doubles event this morning with 2,714 survived onslaughts of Singles Gold medalist, Remy Ong and Lee Yu Wen of Singapore and Chinese Taipei's Tsai Ting-Yun and Chen Chih-Wen to take the well-deserved win. The Singaporean needed a final game of 456 while the Chinese Taipei needed 449 to topple the leader. The Filipinos broke the 1998 Games record of 2,660 set by Cheng Chai-Yu and Wang Yu-Jen of Chinese Taipei.

The Singapore pair bowled 403 and the Chinese Taipei 398. Japan's Isao Yamamoto and Seiji Watanabe, who were second in Squad A scored 2,670 to retain second spot and the Silver medal. Korea's Kim Myoung Jo and Cho Nam Ey shared the Bronze medal with Chinese Taipei's Tsai Ting-Yun and Chen Chih-Wen on 2,663. Remy Ong and Lee Yu Wen of Singapore eventually finished just two pins away in fifth with 2,661.

Although Remy Ong failed to win a medal in this event, his score of 2,775 from two events has taken him to the top of the Men's All Events standings ahead of Shaker Ali Al-Hassan of UAE on 2,754 in second while Japan's Isao Yamamoto is third with 2,724. Korea continues to lead the Overall Medal standings with 1 Gold, 1 Silver and sharing a Bronze medal on 9.5 points. Philippines is second with 1 Gold, 1 Bronze medal and two 4th placings on 9 points while Japan, despite not winning a Gold medal is third with 2 Silver medals on 6 points. Sarah, Wendy bags Malaysia's first Gold from Women's Doubles

4th October, Busan: AMF Bowling World Cup bound Wendy Chai partnered Sarah Yap in the Women's Doubles to capture Malaysia's first Gold medal on Day 2 of the 14th Busan Asian Games tenpin bowling competition at the Homeplus Asiad Bowling Alley.

Malaysia, who trailed the leader Korea by 29 pins and second place Chinese Taipei by 17 pins, over-powered the Korean to snatch the Gold medal. Wendy, the 1999 National champion scored 246 in the final game with Sarah's 212 to secure the win with a combined score of 2,589. Asian Championship Masters Gold medalist, Cha Mi Jung and Singles Gold medalist, Kim Soo Kyung settled for the Silver with 2,558 while the Chinese Taipei's pair of Wang Yi Fen and Wang Yu Ling stormed home to take the Bronze with 2,508.

The other pair, Huang Chung Yao and Chu Yu Chieh from Chinese Taipei, who was lying second going into the final game dropped to fourth with 2,496 while Malaysia's Shalin Zulkifli and Lai Kin Ngoh finished fifth with 2,447. Singapore's Alice Tay and Teng Pei Ling was sixth with 2,442.

After two events, Singles Gold medalist, Kim Soo Kyung of Korea leads the Women's All Events standings with 2,649 followed by Filipino, Liza del Rosario on 2,554 in second while Japan's Mari Kimura took third spot with 2,550. Korea leads Malaysia and Singapore in the Overall Medal standings with 1 Gold and 1 Silver medal on 8 points. Malaysia and Singapore has 1 Gold medal each on 5 points. 3rd October, Busan: Super Classic champion, Remy Ong of Singapore bagged the Men's Singles Gold medal of the 14th Busan Asian Games tenpin bowling competition this evening at the Homeplus Asiad Bowling Alley.

Remy, 27 years-old bowling proshop operator, was engaged in a very close competition with Thailand's 7th World Youth Champion Yannaphon Larpapharat and Philippines's SEA Games gold medallist Biboy Rivera going into the final game. Yannaphon was leading Remy by 7 pins and Rivera was just 10 pins further. Rivera started with a turkey, followed by 9 spare and then a double strike. Remy too had a turkey but just spares in the rest of the frames while Yannaphon never had a double. Going into the final frame, Rivera looked good to win at least a medal, but shocked his coach and supporters when he delivered the ball into the gutter after knocking his foot and failed to spare following 8 pins to finish the game with a 204. He could have won the gold as he just needed a strike or a spare with a good pin count from the bonus. Ong became the first bowler to win a first-ever Gold medal for his country in the Games' history and will be awarded S$250,000 by the government of Singapore for his effort.

Yannaphon Larpapharat of Thailand, who was leading Ong by 7 pins going into the final game, bowled a 192-game to lose out to Ong with 1,372. The 7th World Youth Singles Gold medalist was lucky to tie with first squad leader Shaker Ali Al-Hassan of UAE sharing the Silver medal. Biboy Rivera scored 1 point for Philippines when he finished fourth with 1,367 while fifth place went to Hong Kong's Eric Lau with 1,364.

"This is a great moment for Tenpin Bowling in Singapore," said the newly elected President of Singapore Tenpin Bowling Congress - Mrs. Jessie Phua. "I hope this is the beginning of better things to come," she added.

Kim Soo Kyung captures Women's Singles Gold medal

3rd October, Busan: The 17th Asian Championship Trios Gold medalist, Kim Soo Kyung captured the Women's Singles Gold medal for host nation Korea in the 14th Busan Asian Games tenpin bowling competition this evening at the Homeplus Asiad Bowling Alley.

Kim, who also won the 2002 Malaysian Open Masters title in March, scored 1,362 to erase the record of 1,347 set by Korea's Lee Ji Yean at the Bangkok Games in 1998. She was 28 pins ahead of Miyuki Kubotani of Japan who took the Silver medal with 1,334. Last year's Penang Pesta International Masters champion, Liza Clutario of the Philippines won the Bronze medal with 1,308 just four pins ahead of teammate, Liza del Rosario in fourth.

Trios Gold medalist of the 17th Asian Championship, Kim Hyo Mi of Korea was fifth with 1,300 while Singapore's 17 year-old Valerie Teo took sixth place with 1,294.

3rd October, Busan: Asian Championship Singles champion, Shaker Ali Al-Hassan of UAE lead the Men's Singles first squad of 52 bowlers in the 14th Busan Asian Games tenpin bowling competition this morning at the Homeplus Asiad Bowling Alley.

Shaker, who led after 4 games with 924 from Hong Kong's Chung Him on 908 and Mubarak Al-Muraiki of Qatar on 901, sustained the pressures of Qatar's Saeed Al-Hajri, fellow teammate Hulaiman Al-Hameli when they tied on 1,137 after the fifth game. Shaker hit a final game of 235 totaling 1,372 to strive off a late challenge from Hong Kong's Eric Lau to take the lead of the Men's Singles first squad of 53 bowlers. Shaker has a chance of winning UAE's first-ever Gold medal of the Games' history.

Hong Kong's Eric Lau lies second 8 pins away on 1,364 and just 1 pin ahead of Hulaiman Al-Hemeli of UAE who settled for thrid with 1,363. Four-time World Champion, Paeng Nepomuceno of the Philippines also made a late charge but his score of 1,352 was not good enough. In fifth spot was Korea's Kim Kyung Min scoring 1,347 followed by Japan's Isao Yamamoto on 1,338 in sixth.
