KBC having a history over a period of forty years, organized in August 1968, have been contributed as a core of bowling development in international as well as domestic such as an event of elite sports and sports for all, that is, to increase the health wellness and enjoyable spirit, to educate and cultivate the bowlers with talent, to enhance the national prestige and to develop the physical education of nation.
As you all may know, this World Championship is one of the biggest event for the bowlers. And through this championship, we were able to promote friendship between member nations and has worked as a big role in developing world-wide bowling and popularizing it to all people. I would proudly like to say that our sport is keep growing and we'll soon take one of the important part in Sports.
This year, the World Tenpin Bowling Championships for Men 2006 is held in Busan Metro City, which shows natural environment of harmony between mountains, rivers and sea. I hope all the participants could enjoy their stay that this trip may be a great opportunity for all the players increasing their skills as well as the friendship.
In conclusion, I would like to thank the executive committee members and the volunteers for their effort in preparing and organizing the championship.
