21st January, Bangkok: Kelvin Goh Jong Theng captured Singapore's first gold medal of the 13th ASEAN Para Games Thailand 2025 after winning the Men's TPB1 Singles event while Mohd Rizal Bin Hassan delivered Malaysia's first gold with victory in the Men's TPB3 Singles.

Kelvin Goh amassed a 6-game total of 804 in the Men's TPB1 Singles to capture Singapore's first gold medal of the championships. Mohd Suhairi Bin Abd Kadar of Malaysia finished second with 749 to take home the silver medal. Thailand's Krisada Kietkongtawee picked up the bronze medal with 746.

Singapore's Thomas Nathan Kim missed the podium by 13 pins after finishing fourth with 727 while the two Indonesians, Irvan Arimansyah and Dwi Widiantoro completed the top six.

Thailand's Denpong Chantaramanee got off the 6-games Singles with 172 to lead Mohd Rizal Bin Hassan of Malaysia by 12 pins. Chantaramanee downed another 172 but lost the lead to Mohd Rizal after the Malaysian shot 191 to take over the lead.

Mohd Rizal rolled 184 and 171 in his next two games but Chantaramanee fought back with 168 and 209 to regain the lead. The Malaysian ended with identical 199 in his last two games to seal victory with 1104 and delivered Malaysia's first gold medal.

Chantaramanee settled for second and did not win any medal as there was only two contestants in this category. Men's TPB1 and TPB3 will take to the lanes in the afternoon for their 6 games Singles event.

The Men's TPB2 and TPB4 will contest their Singles tomorrow morning while the Men's TPB9 and Women's TPB8 will compete in their Singles event in the afternoon.
