We are delighted to announce that we have considerably enhanced our prize money. The total prize money which will go to the top 40 bowlers amounts to over S$98,000 cash. The erfect Game is a whopping S$100,000. And, we've also established S$20,000 cash bonus for the semi-finals to add some excitement. Our total prize purse is over S$200,000! And this is all in cash!
The champion stands to win S$25,000 cash, while the first and second runner-up stand to win S$12,000 and S$8,000 cash respectively.
On the tournament format, participants will be required to bowl in 3 squads over 3 days of 10 games during each assigned squad. The top 40 will play 10 games in the quarter-final. The top 20 bowlers will enter the semi-finals to play 8 games. The top 5 placings over the 8-game series will then advance to the Top 5 Shoot Out where they will play 2 games. The top two qualifiers will then fight it out over one game for the glory of being crowned the 17th Cathay Super Classic Champion and take home a cool S$25,000 cash!
The entry fee for each participant is S$650. However, if you register and submit payment on or before 30 June 2005, the entry fee is S$550. You may download the Entry Form and the Rules & Regulations for your reference. The closing date for all entries is on 19th July, 2005.
