The tournament will commence on 12th October, 2011 with the arrival of the delegates and team managers meeting. The Asian Intercity Bowling Council (AIBC) Executive Meeting and the AIBC General Assembly will also be held on that day. Official practice and the opening ceremony will be on the 13th of October. The final day will be on the 17th of October.
"This championship provides an affable environment for alternative bowling organisations, like the Asian Intercity Bowling Council, to not only promote the sport of bowling and nurture young bowlers but also enhance relations among Asian cities," said Mrs Jessie Phua, President of the Singapore Bowling Federation.
Participants from 17 cities across Asia will compete in the Singles, Doubles, Team Event and Masters Categories. With the addition of the senior division in the last championship, a total of 20 senior participants will be competing in this division this year.
The 17 participating cities are Daegu, East Coast, Happy Valley, Hong Kong, Jurong, Kowloon, Kuala Lumpur, Kuching, Macau, Paranaque, Pasay, Saipan, San Juan, Shah Alam, Singapore, Taipa, Tamuning.
