Taiwanese clinches Squad D top spot

6th May, Taoyuan: Yen Shuo Lin of Chinese Taipei clinched Squad D top spot in the first block of five games qualifying rounds of the 3rd Formosa International Bowling Classic 2026 ahead of pace-setter, Jeremiah Camacho of Guam in second and near perfect-gamer, Puntep Bhayakaporn of Thailand in third.

Huang Yeh Wen of Chinese Taipei took an early lead with an opening game of 258, ahead of Ariq Bin Anif of Singapore in second and Chanathip Prempree of Thailand, a further four pins away in third. 2024 Asian Intercity Masters champion, Jeremiah Camacho of Guam added 243 to his 234 opener to move into the lead.

A second Taiwanese, Yen Shuo Lin took up second spot, 20 pins behind the leader while Prempree remained in third. A scintillating 278 from Camacho allowed him to remain in the lead. A second Thai, Rattanapat Chatchaisiri moved up into second and trailing by just one pin.

A third Thai, Puntep Bhayakaporn almost shot the tournament's first 300 but had to settled for 299 to take over the lead after the fourth game with Camacho slipping down to second. Yen ended his first block stronger for the lead with 1171 total.

Camacho settled for second with 1149. Bhayakaporn finished third with 1143 while two Taiwanese, Huang Yeh Wen and Turn Bin Lin rounded out the top five with 1121 and 1091 respectively. Players will resume with their second block of five games tomorrow and the last five games on May 8.
