30th May, Petaling Jaya: Youth Graded Masters first runner-up, Muhammad Aqil Bin Faizal of PTBPP/MMBC and National Youth, Adelia Nur bagged the Youth Open Masters titles of the Kuala Lumpur International Open Bowling Championships 2025 late Friday evening.

Amin Zulkarnain of Sukma WP squad got off to a cracking start with 253 to lead fellow team-mate, Amin Syimir and National Youth, Farish Danial by 8 pins, sharing second spot. Two National Youth squad members, Muhd Noor Hidayat in fourth with 237 and Wan M Zarif in fifth with 235.

Amin remained in the lead after adding 212 in his second game as Amin Syimir continued to trail in second with 195. Muhammad Aqil, who downed 222 and 214 in his first two games almost shot a perfect game in the third but settled for 299 to surge into the lead.

Aliff Haikal of MSN, Johor shot a big game of 268 to move into second spot as Amin Syimir slipped down to third, 10 pins behind. Despite a 194 in the fourth game, Muhammad Aqil remained in the lead. Amin Zulkarnain bounced back to reclaim second spot.


Top 3 winners of the Youth Open finals

The Penang youth went on to end the finals with 194, 180, 181 and 213 to seal victory with 1759. Amin Zulkarnain settled for second position with 1738, just 21 pins adrift while Wan M Zarif took third spot with 1737. Mohamad Hazim Danish of Malaysia and Airel Amri shared fourth position with 1735 each.

In the girls division, National Youth Adelia Nur had a superb start with 233 to lead Lavina Kho Jia Jie of ABAS, Sarawak by six pins. Piretisha A/P Raviechandran of Negeri Sembilan and NationalYouth, Quaatu'ain Izdihar were third and fourth.

Kho took over the running after the second game but Adelia Nur fought back to regain the lead after the third game. The leader continued with a consistent pace from game 4 onwards and finished the finals in style with a massive game of 288 to bag the title with 1835.

Kho settled for second with 1664 after a keen tussle with Adelia Nur, some 171 pins adrift. Another National Youth, Natalie Chong Yi Wen finished third with 1658. Two additional National Youth squad members, Anis Hannani and Nurul Anis Nabila completed the top five with 1639 and 1628 respectively.

Ms Michelle Wong, Committee Member of KLTBA was on hand to present the prizes, trophies and MILO hampers to the winners. Qualifying will resume tomorrow and the last qualifying squad for the Graded division will be 14:30hrs with their finals set for 21:00hrs.
