Hong Kong has been awarded the host of the World Women's Championship 2011 by the WTBA Presidium at the end of the second day of the congress meeting at Feringa Park Hotel in August 2010.

The championship, which was originally awarded to Malaysia, has been withdrawn and the WTBA Presidium decided to award to Hong Kong against two other bidding countries, Austria and Thailand.

The tentative dates set is 1 to 11 September, 2011 with the FIQ, WTBA Presidium and Congresses meetings set for September 9 to 14. Hong Kong will be the first Asian country to host the women's championship since it split up in 2004.

Aalborg, Denmark hosted the first in 2004 followed by Monterry, Mexico in 2007 and Las Vegas, USA in 2009. Thailand was the other Asian country which has hosted the men's championship in 2008.

Three official hotels: Regal Oriental Hotel (for Teams); Royal Plaza Hotel (for Teams and Meeting Delegates) and Regal Kowloon Hotel (for Presidium Members and Meeting Delegates).
