9th July, Bangkok: Korea's Baek Seungmin, Baek Seungwoo, Park Soowan and Lee Myeongcheol topped the Boy's Team of Four Block 1 at the 21st Asian Youth Tenpin Bowling Championships with Hong Kong and Thailand in second and third.
Doubles gold medallist, Seungwoo and Soowan together with team-mates, Seungmin and Myeongcheol got off to a blistering start with a stunning 926 in their opening game to lead Daniel Tse, Jeremy Wong, Amen Yuen and Jason Leung of Hong Kong by 19 pins.
A 19-pin gap was easily erased when the Hong Kong quartet added a strong 883 in their second game to move four pins ahead of the Koreans, who posted a respectable 860.
Nearest to the leading duo was Thailand's Pakaphol Kulkaarineethu, Nutavat Rasisetkun, Sasitha Kaewklom and Singles bronze medallist, Vilinkorn Kiedkaew 44 pins adrift in third while Chinese Taipei was in a distant fourth. Despite ending the block with 806, Korea managed to snatch top spot with 2592.
