25th September, Tamuning: Paranaque swept the Women and Women Senior Team of Four gold medals of the 38th Asian Intercity Bowling Championship with host, Tamuning picking up the Women Team silver medal and Subang Jaya taking home the Women Senior Team silver medal.

Julianne Marri Ramirez, Alyssa Louise Ty, Dyan Arcel Coronacion and Maria Lourdes Arles defeated fourth-seed and challenger, Tamuning, 2-0 (162-125, 174-144) to win their second gold medal of the championship. The Paranaque quartet had earlier breezed past Pasay, 2-0 (177-149, 174-168) in the semi-finals.

Tamuning's Aubreale Charfauros, Maria Tosco-Wood, Mae Rose Nauta and Naiyah Taimanglo had secured their spot in the gold medal round after a 9-8 in a one-ball tie-breaker win against top-seed and favourite, Taichung in the other semi.

Tamuning settled for the silver medal while Taichung and Pasay were awarded a bronze medal each. In the earlier 3-game preliminaries, Taichung led all the way and topped the field with a total of 2317. Paranaque finished second, 96 pins adrift with 2221.

Elsie Ang, Pia Basa, Gay Faye Esguerra and Nyriam Hernandez picked up Paranaque's third gold medal of the championship with a victory over Subang Jaya's Poziah Atan, Shirley Burnett, Michelle Wong and Datin Rakiah Ali via a 9-7 one-ball tie-breaker after winning one match each (171-129, 137-174).

Fourth-seed Paranaque also had a X-6 win in a one-ball tie-breaker against top-seed Dededo after winning one match each (137-159, 173-163) in the semi-finals while Subang Jaya advance to the gold medal round with a 2-0 (201-175, 187-162) victory in the other semi.

Subang Jaya took home their third silver medals of the championship while Dededo and Tamuning earned a bronze medal each. Dededo topped the 3-games preliminaries with 2091 to advance to the medal round as top-seed.

Subang Jaya finished second with 2027. Tamuning and Pasay made the cut for the medal round in third and fourth with 1953 and 1901 respectively. Mr Gene Bangayan, Vice President of Guam Bowling was on hand to present the medals to the winners.
