9th May, Taoyuan: Newly-crowned U22 Youth champion, Tsai Yu Shuo of Chinese Taipei added a second title at the 3rd Formosa International Bowling Classic 2026 with victory in the Graded Masters finals with Jarvis Lim of Singapore in second and Chiang Chuo Kun third.

Top qualifier, Yen Shui Lin of Chinese Taipei started with a brilliant 245 to lead Tsai by just five pins with Ezekiel Gatan of Guam in third. Block 1 Squad C leader, Png Yao Xian of Singapore had a brief lead after a stunning 266 in his second game.

A third Taiwanese, Liang Jen Hao, who had a consistent first three games took over the running ahead of yet another Taiwanese, Chiang Chuo Kun moving up to second. But Yen bounced back with a superb 268 to regain the lead at the halfway mark.

The lead changed hands again after Tsai move back up into top spot after the fifth game. A keen tussle for the lead saw Yen move ahead of Tsai, just 19 pins ahead. The 20-year-old Tsai ended with 230 and 237 in his last two games to seal his second victory with 1807 after winning the U22 Youth title earlier in the morning.


Graded Masters top 3 beaming with their trophies and prize money

Jarvis Lim of Singapore stormed home with 223 and 226 to snatch second position with 1777. Chiang settled for third position with 1715. Tsai added NT$150,000 (approx. US$4,700) as champion to the NT$30,000 he picked up in the U22 Youth division finals.

Lim took home NT$80,000 and Chian NT$50,000 as first and second runners-up. Mr Chan Shu Tung, DongDong Bowling Alley Proprietor was on hand to present the prizes to the winners. The Spinner Division Masters will be the next finals to be contested tomorrow at 9:30am while the Open Division Round 2 finals will be held at 3:30pm.
