14th July, Incheon: Kang Yeyoung-Lee Daeun of Korea 2 and Arianne Tay-Colleen Pee of Singapore made the cut for the Girl's Doubles semi-finals of the 2024 IBF World Youth Championships from Group A while Maja Engberg-Nora-Johnsson of Sweden and Katelyn Abisinia-Annalise O'Bryant of USA finish one-two in Group B.
The Korean pair won all their seven matches for a maximum of 21 points and a total pinfall of 1425. The Singapore pair won five out of their seven matches for 15 points with 1498 pinfalls. Maxine Bolek and Fiona Lindemann of Germany missed the cut by 3 points after winning four matches for a 12 points total for third in the Group A.
The Malaysian pair of Anis Hannani Romzi and Adania Mohd Redzwan, who started off well with four straight wins, failed to win their remaining three to slipped out into fifth with 12 points.
In Group B, Maja Engberg and Nora Johansson of Sweden was the only pair who had advanced to the semi-finals comfortably with 18 points from six wins. There was a four-way one-game tie-breaker held after four pairs amassed 12 points each.
