18th July, Incheon: Maja Engberg and Nora Johansson gave Sweden its first gold medal of the 2024 IFB World Youth Championships with victory over USA in the Girl's Doubles final and Paul Purps and Max Lorenz delivered Germany's second gold in the Boy's Doubles final.

Engberg and Johansson edged challenger and USA's Katelyn Abigania and Annalise O'Bryant, 172-180 in the first match of the final. There was less between the gold medal contenders as they went from frame to frame almost on level terms.

But the Swedes pull off a small lead when they strung together more strikes than the American quartet. Engberg and Johansson prevailed to deliver Sweden's first gold medal after settling for a silver in the Boy's Singles and the Mixed Team events.
